Truck cargo traffic between Russia, Poland can stop in ‘16
MOSCOW, Jan 29 (PRIME) -- The truck traffic between Russia and Poland can stop in 2016 because of a discord over the new Russian cargo traffic rules between Moscow and Warsaw, the Russian Transport Ministry said in a statement late Thursday.
The Russian ministry said that it has introduced new requirements to put in order Russian traffic permits extension and ensure transparency in competition on the global truck traffic market.
On Wednesday, it received a letter from Poland’s deputy minister of infrastructure and development who said that they increase the level of government control over the business.
The Russian ministry said: “The Polish side refuses to give any concrete proposals regarding an exchange of permits (for truck cargo traffic) for this year, demanding as an ultimatum that the federal law … be changed for Polish transport operators.”
